About me
Mrs. Thompson began her teaching career nearly two decades ago teaching post-graduate and baccalaureate students while also homeschooling her own children. Mrs. Thompson was thrilled to begin serving the Cypress campus where her children attend by teaching Rhetoric and Logic courses when it opened in 2021. She has a passion for guiding Logic students to understand biblical truths and mature in their executive function skills. Her experience in childhood development, all levels of the trivium, and post-secondary education brings a unique perspective of what proficiencies students in each developmental stage need to acquire to successfully think critically, live Biblically, and lead courageously after graduation. She holds a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and Master's of Science in Nursing Education. The Thompsons are looking forward to a fourth year of building community and getting to know other like-minded families by attending athletic, academic, and social events for Pre-K through Rhetoric students with their SBSUM family. They enjoy traveling to national parks and U.S. landmarks on the extended breaks the SBSUM calendar provides.
